Jungle Cruise
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Venture deep into the mysterious and danger-filled jungle and experience the perils of the wild!" - from the original Tokyo Disneyland English guidebook, 1983''
The Jungle Cruise is an attraction at the following Disney theme parks: Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland (under the name Jungle River Cruise). As France's climate is too cold for a realistic presentation of tropical vegetation, Disneyland Paris is the only Magic Kingdom-style Disney theme park that does not have the Jungle Cruise in its attraction roster.
The Jungle Cruise was one of the twenty-two attractions operating at Disneyland on its opening day (July 17, 1955). In celebration of Disneyland's 50th anniversary, the Disneyland version of the attraction features one gold-painted riverboat.
Ride description
The attraction is a riverboat journey through the jungles of Asia, Africa and South America. The boat's Skipper provides humorous narration featuring puns relating to the various scenes viewed during the ride. The seemingly ad-libbed comments individual skippers now often include during their recitations make each ride on the Jungle Cruise a substantially different experience. The original spiel, however, is legendary among Disney fans. Competitions in which they compete to say the seven-minute spiel the fastest have been held.
Version comparisons
Disneyland's version includes a piranha attack scene as well as some explosive effects in a scene where gorillas are ransacking a camp and throwing dynamite into the river.
The Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland versions are similar to each other. They each have indoor temple scenes and the character of Chief Nami corresponds to Disneyland's Trader Sam. The Magic Kingdom ride operates in a counter clock-wise fashion while Tokyo Disneyland's operates clock-wise.
The shape of Hong Kong Disneyland's route is significantly different compared to the others and it also includes scenes depicting angry Tiki gods.

Adaptations
The Walt Disney Company announced in 2004 that the Jungle Cruise would be adapted into a motion picture, also called Jungle Cruise.
A tribute to the ride was made in 2005 on an episode of the podcast, The Radio Adventures of Dr. Floyd as well as a Strong Bad E-mail entitled "theme park".

Now for those of you who haven’t been to Disney World before. You might wanna listen closely because this is gonna help you attempt to avoid lines and safe you time to relax.
How Diz navigates around the Magic Kingdom.
Now I would suggest getting up really early. So you can get to the park when it opens. After that… Walk over to Adventureland and go on the JUNGLE CRUISE… After that go over to Pirates of the Caribbean.. After that… The Enchanted Tiki room will be closed…. So go over to liberty square. And go on the Haunted Mansion… So its about 10. You have been in the park for 3 hours already… After that you go to Fantasyland and go on EVERYTHING except dumbo. We will do that later. After Fantasyland. Go to Tomorrowland. In tomorrowland right away do Buzzlightyear. After Buzz lightyear go over to Space Mountain and get a fastpass… it will normally be about 30 minutes before you can use that. After you get your fastpass go on Carousel of Progress and TTA. That should take up most of your time for your fastpass. After Space Mountain go get a bite to eat at Cosmic Rays Starlight Café. After lunch. Some other things will be open like Tiki room and Country Bears. So head over there and get a fastpass for Splash Mountain. Then go on Country Bears and if you have time the Enchanted Tiki room. After that go on Splash mountain… if your stomach has settled from lunch go on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. So lets say its about 3 now. You still go lots of time on your hands. Go on Dumbo and Aladin. If you want. Or go on some rides again. Go into a show and fall asleep and get a little nap… Well lets say its 5 now and you want supper. You can choose where you want to eat. But I would strongly recommend making a reservation at the Liberty Tree or go and taking the boat over to Fort Wilderness Campground… The have a buffet dinner there that is really good. So now its 6:30. You did every single thing at the Magic Kingdom… Well lets say it was really busy in the park that day so really its 8. Go see Spectromagic the light parade at night. And then watch the fireworks show. Then you will probably be wore out. So go back to your good ole hotel room and sleep for your next magical day at Walt Disney World.
